SnoreStop Extinguisher is a homeopathic remedy that is meant to be sprayed into the back of the throat at bed-time.
A number of ingredients are combined in the spray that work together to help shrink tissues at the back of the mouth, the soft palate and the upper throat. A quick spray under the tongue at bed-time is also recommended.
The product design
This mouth spray gets good marks for the simplicity of its design. An elongated nozzle allows you to easily access and adequately spray the areas at the back of your mouth.
No side effects
Homeopathic remedies are based on the belief that the body can and will repair itself. Ingredients are chosen and combined in tiny doses that will stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
The ingredients in this spray are listed as being:
- Decongestive and anti-inflammatory
- Anti- histaminic, decongestive and mucolytic
SnoreStop Extinguisher has FDA approval and has no known side effects. You can be reassured if you choose to give this remedy a try that it is safe when used as directed.
Does it work?
The answer is both yes and no.
Less mucus production leads to less stuffiness and this can’t help but make breathing easier. As well, the anti-inflammatory properties will work to reduce swelling in sensitive tissues in the area where the spray is applied.
When these tissues shrink the airway is enlarged and this does ease the breathing process somewhat and may help reduce snoring in a few people.
While it’s true that the vast majority of people who snore do so because of blockage in this area at the back of the mouth; the cause is usually something other than swollen tissues.
In reality, for most snorers the tongue is the culprit that needs to be addressed. This big muscle relaxes when you fall asleep and often slips backwards enough to partially or completely block the airway.
Snoring erupts as the sleeper struggles to breathe. No amount of SnoreStop Extinguisher will muffle the sound of snoring when this kind of airway blockage occurs.
Won’t break the bank or … will it?
A two month supply of SnoreStop Extinguisher will set you back just under twenty dollars so your pocket book won’t take too big a hit if you want to experiment with this product.
You may want to pay attention to this though. According to information on the website it is recommended that you use the Extinguisher in conjunction with another one of the products being advertised on the same site.
The other item is similar in nature only it’s a nasal spray. This second item is under twenty dollars as well so again, these homeopathic treatments aren’t too pricey.
But wait! There is even a third product. This time it’s a homeopathic remedy in a tablet form. All three products are meant to treat snoring and can all be used in combination.
The price is starting to edge upwards now and what started out as being a reasonably priced experiment is now suddenly becoming something that requires a little more consideration.
Some final thoughts
The area at the back of the mouth where the soft palate and upper throat come together is where 80% of snoring symptoms occur.
SnoreStop Extinguisher will be able to successfully treat a few of those symptoms but will not handle the main cause of snoring, the tongue.
Anti-snoring tongue retention mouthpieces have been shown to be much more effective when it comes to ending snoring problems that originate in this back of the mouth region.Click Here to Access the Official SnoreStop Extinguisher Website
Which device should I choose?
No one can answer this question for you. Your mouth and needs are unique, so one that I love or that your neighbor swears by may not be the best solution for you.
There are numerous products available to choose from, so if you are feeling overwhelmed this is perfectly normal. I have written several reviews on products I have personally tried and you can always use the chart I compiled for comparison purposes.
